I had a happy surprise waiting on my desk not an hour ago!
It was the NNC Mug Rug Exchange all the way from Astrid in Mauritius!!

I like how she used raffia strings(????) to tie it all up.
I think of it as a......delightfully-rustic-mess :)
That postcard in the midst of the delightfully-rustic-mess is a postcard of Port-Louis in Mauritius.
THE MUG RUG!!!!In case you haven't yet noticed, the 'monogram' on the left side is the letter P :)
And the 'picture' on the right side is a smoking mug (or is it a teacup???)
And here is the close-up shot so you can see Astrid's free motion quilting-ness.It's really neat.
Ooooh someone has her own label now :DOn a totally random note, I realize from picture, my fingers look exactly like my mother's. I have...I have....lady fingers :(
To cuts of fat quarters.I like the pink and black Eiffel Tower ones!! It's....girlish-ly masculine!
(LOL Bear with me and my vocabulary. I'm known to sometimes use this kind of 'speak' and annoy people, particularly my parents and colleagues)
And a very cute tea bag pouch(???) containing 4 different Mauritius-produced tea. The teabags are part of the exchange requirements I think.(I have a perfume from L'Occitane called The Vert too LOL)
Thanks so much Astrid!! Like I said it was a pleasant surprise and I can't believe that I didn't realize that the mug rug exchange was a secret-partner one! I'm so out of touch with life! Ooh, I think I signed up for the Chinese Mug Rug too, which means I should be receiving another mug rug soon! :D
Now, to work on MY mug rug for my partners....

OMG Paul! That was fast! I'm glad you received it sound and safe, and I hope you like what I sent. I loved making it (even if this one is the third attempt!) and I've put all my love into it! :)
A really manly mug rug in manly colours! Love it and the teabag pouch too. And better a bit of a lady like fingers than , horrors, a bunch of bananas fingers!! LOL!
